Better posture without holding yourself upright
If good posture feels like effort, it usually does not last. Feldenkrais helps you find an upright organisation that is dynamic, comfortable, and ready for movement.

The usual posture advice does not hold
You can sit straight for a minute
Then the effort fades and the old shape returns.
Shoulders back can create strain
Many people over-contract the back and neck when trying to correct posture.
Posture is an action
Moshe Feldenkrais described posture as readiness for movement, not a fixed position to maintain.
We work with organisation, not appearance
Your skeleton can carry you with much less muscular effort than you may be using. The work is to sense where support passes through your head, spine, pelvis, and feet.
Instead of adding tension to look upright, sessions help remove the contractions that keep you from being easily upright.

What changes
Less effort
You learn to notice and release unnecessary work in the back, shoulders, jaw, and belly.
Better balance
Head, pelvis, and feet become better coordinated, which supports standing and walking.
More adaptability
Good posture becomes the ability to move in any direction without preparing or bracing first.
A learning-based approach
Body image improves
Reviews of Feldenkrais research report improvements in body-image perception and reduced perceived effort.
Useful for older adults
Older-adult movement studies report gains in awareness, comfort, and function.
No rigid correction
You will not be held, strapped, or told to force a military posture.

Hi, I'm Koby
I'm a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, trained at Instituto Feldenkrais in Barcelona. My work is based on Dr. Feldenkrais' original Amherst Functional Integration lessons.
Personally, this method completely removed my own shoulder and lower back pain. That experience is what drives me.
I now live in Amsterdam with my wife and three wonderful kids, and I work with people one-on-one from my practice here in the city.
What my clients say
I first came to Koby's Feldenkrais practice five months after surgery on my lower back. Weekly sessions with Koby helped to turn this around. Our sessions consist of gentle, intuitive movement combined with breathing and awareness. I find what Koby does to be safer than most yoga classes and more effective than conventional physiotherapy. Highly recommended.

I came to Koby as I had problems with my neck. With Koby I learned how to sit properly, how to exercise daily and how to be more conscious to my body. It made a great difference. Strongly recommend.

"But physiotherapy is covered by my insurance..."
That is a fair question
Physiotherapy is excellent at treating injuries, strengthening weak muscles, and supporting recovery after surgery.
Many clients do both
Many of my clients come after a course of physio. Physio addressed their symptoms, but the pain kept returning.
Feldenkrais works with habits
We look at the unconscious habits in how you sit, stand, and move that may be causing the strain.
Simple pricing
One session is €50. Most people feel a meaningful difference within 2 to 4 sessions.
