Feel steadier on your feet
Balance is not just strength. It is how your brain integrates your feet, eyes, inner ear, spine, and confidence. Feldenkrais trains that integration gently, often while lying or sitting first.

Balance changes can be subtle
You avoid uneven ground
Cobblestones, stairs, tram steps, and crowded streets begin to require extra attention.
Fear stiffens movement
Worrying about a fall often makes people move more rigidly, which can increase the risk.
Confidence matters
Balance confidence is itself an important part of moving safely and freely.
Train balance without starting from fear
Many lessons begin lying or sitting, where there is no risk of falling. From there, we refine weight transfer, foot sensing, head-pelvis organisation, and eye-head coordination.
Standing work is introduced gradually, once the nervous system has clearer options.

What improves balance
Foot sensing
You learn to feel where weight passes through the feet, ankles, and floor.
Weight transfer
We practise shifting weight before stepping, turning, and reaching.
Head and eyes
Looking around while walking becomes less destabilising when eyes, head, and spine cooperate.
The strongest evidence area for Feldenkrais
Older-adult balance trials
The Connors, Galea, and Said 2011 controlled trial found improvements in stepping, gait speed, and balance confidence.
Meta-analysis support
A 2015 review reported meaningful improvements in Timed-Up-and-Go and Functional Reach tests.
Practical dose
Research protocols often use weekly or twice-weekly lessons over about 10 weeks.

Hi, I'm Koby
I'm a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, trained at Instituto Feldenkrais in Barcelona. My work is based on Dr. Feldenkrais' original Amherst Functional Integration lessons.
Personally, this method completely removed my own shoulder and lower back pain. That experience is what drives me.
I now live in Amsterdam with my wife and three wonderful kids, and I work with people one-on-one from my practice here in the city.
What my clients say
I first came to Koby's Feldenkrais practice five months after surgery on my lower back. Weekly sessions with Koby helped to turn this around. Our sessions consist of gentle, intuitive movement combined with breathing and awareness. I find what Koby does to be safer than most yoga classes and more effective than conventional physiotherapy. Highly recommended.

I came to Koby as I had problems with my neck. With Koby I learned how to sit properly, how to exercise daily and how to be more conscious to my body. It made a great difference. Strongly recommend.

"But physiotherapy is covered by my insurance..."
That is a fair question
Physiotherapy is excellent at treating injuries, strengthening weak muscles, and supporting recovery after surgery.
Many clients do both
Many of my clients come after a course of physio. Physio addressed their symptoms, but the pain kept returning.
Feldenkrais works with habits
We look at the unconscious habits in how you sit, stand, and move that may be causing the strain.
Simple pricing
One session is €50. Most people feel a meaningful difference within 2 to 4 sessions.
