Neck pain that keeps coming back?
When the neck is always tense, the cause is often not only in the neck. Feldenkrais helps you change the movement habits connecting your head, eyes, jaw, ribs, and spine.

Common neck pain patterns
Neck tension from screens
Long visual focus can quietly lock the eyes, jaw, and small neck muscles together.
Relief fades
Massage or stretching may feel good, but the old head-and-neck habit often returns.
Turning gets smaller
You rotate mostly from the top of the neck instead of sharing the turn through the ribs and spine.
Your neck is part of a whole spine
The head weighs several kilos. When the thoracic spine, ribs, eyes, or jaw are over-fixed, the neck often becomes the place that pays.
Sessions use small, precise movements to restore easier coordination instead of forcing the neck to stretch.

What we explore
Head and eyes
Can your eyes move without gripping your neck? Can your head turn without the shoulders joining in?
Jaw and breathing
We look for quiet clenching and breath holding that can keep the neck switched on.
Ribs and spine
More movement below the neck means the neck no longer has to do the whole job.
Research support
Chronic neck/scapular pain
A 2014 randomized trial found pain reductions after Feldenkrais lessons that were maintained at one-year follow-up.
Work-related neck-shoulder complaints
A 1999 randomized trial found reduced complaints in the Feldenkrais group.
No high-velocity manipulation
The work is slow, gentle, and learner-driven. There is no cracking of the neck.

Hi, I'm Koby
I'm a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, trained at Instituto Feldenkrais in Barcelona. My work is based on Dr. Feldenkrais' original Amherst Functional Integration lessons.
Personally, this method completely removed my own shoulder and lower back pain. That experience is what drives me.
I now live in Amsterdam with my wife and three wonderful kids, and I work with people one-on-one from my practice here in the city.
What my clients say
I first came to Koby's Feldenkrais practice five months after surgery on my lower back. Weekly sessions with Koby helped to turn this around. Our sessions consist of gentle, intuitive movement combined with breathing and awareness. I find what Koby does to be safer than most yoga classes and more effective than conventional physiotherapy. Highly recommended.

I came to Koby as I had problems with my neck. With Koby I learned how to sit properly, how to exercise daily and how to be more conscious to my body. It made a great difference. Strongly recommend.

"But physiotherapy is covered by my insurance..."
That is a fair question
Physiotherapy is excellent at treating injuries, strengthening weak muscles, and supporting recovery after surgery.
Many clients do both
Many of my clients come after a course of physio. Physio addressed their symptoms, but the pain kept returning.
Feldenkrais works with habits
We look at the unconscious habits in how you sit, stand, and move that may be causing the strain.
